Essays by John Parry

I spent a good chunk of my afternoon reading these essays on one Mr. John Parry's website. The best word I could possibly think of to describe them would be "delightful", a word that I don't use much, and sounds slightly pretentious, but it's the closest to perfect that I have in my current vocabulary.

The essays are all very interesting and defend things that are commonly frowned upon, like procrastination, messy desks, and monolinguals (aka. Americans). Those ones were my favourites!

I'm sure this link is super old (I distinctly remember reading the procrastination one ages ago), but I loved it, so enjoy! :)

Blingo! :)

Blingo
So, this is one of those what-the-hell-is-she-talking-about times.. what's Blingo, right? Basically, Blingo = Google + PRIZES. :) Like, you're searching.. you're searching.. and then, BLINGO! you just won a prize. Or something like that, right?

I haven't won anything yet, so I can't say for sure that this works, but there are a ton of blogs out there with people who say they've won, so there's got to be something to it, right? Refering friends makes it easier to win, so sign up through my link and then send your own link to your friends! :)

my day and a game.

We had our orchestra concert today. It went well, mostly. Except for that one part in the Berliose (Sorry, I spelled it phoenetically) where ALL the violins came in exactly a measure early. And it was a BIG LOUD entrance, too. We were all just like "*BAM* ... oops. " Literally. And it was our last song, so by concert etiquitte, it was supposed to be our best. Oh well.

Then I went to Starbucks with a few people, only to get there and decide that no one wanted to buy anything. So we left. (I'm sorry Ms. Nature for unnecessarily polluting you with harmful car emissions.)

Okay, okay. Here are your games, courtesy of GPrime:
  1. Gold Miner
  2. Super Fishing
I was hooked on these. Although, I'm a sucker for simple games that don't require aim or extremely good buttom-mashing luck. :)

gmail invite + gmail invite + gmail invite + gmail invite ... etc.

Hmmm i wonder, if i mention that i have gmail invites to get rid of, will i get tons of spam comments? Everyone did get 50 invites recently, after all, but whatever.

Well, if you still want an invite, leave your name and email in a comment here and I'll send you one. :)
